San Mig Coffee's 2013 First Round PBA Draft Picks

San Mig Coffee Mixers chose two center position players in the persons of Ian Sangalang (#2) and Justin Chua (#10) from the first round of the 2013 PBA Draft today.

The two are nowhere near Barangay Ginebra's 7 ft.  # 1 draft pick Greg Slaughter so San Mig had no  choice but to pick the next best thing  Anyway, the recently concluded conference showed that Yancy de Ocampo and the other San Mig bigs Pingris, De Vance and Reevis can squeeze a game 7 championship against a 3-pt shooting Petron anchored by an imposing Junmar Fajardo.

It's interesting that the two draftees who are no taller than Yancy de Ocampo may not have the latter's good passing skills but like him are also leftees, more of finesse players and can take medium range shots.

I just hope Sangalang overcomes his open desire to play for Ginebra so he could maximize his stint with San Mig Coffee.  Remember Kerby Raymundo who said he really wanted to play for Ginebra?  He did get the trade and played for Ginebra.  Now he's entering the next  conference with another team after getting swapped to Meralco.
