Mayon Looms Over the City

 

I'm not able to watch Mayon's lava flows during its current (2026) activity because we live far across the gulf from Mayon.  But I can still make myself happy looking at this painting I did more than a year ago.

I had to take separate detail shots because it's almost impossible balancing exposure of an image with a black glossy surface.  Really need to use matte or satin varnish for dark/black paintings.
