Cycling Along the Gulf Before Summer Ends

All the energy you spent in 40 kms. returns once you take this stop before heading downhill toward the city.  Mayon Volcano and Oriental Hotel in the middle ground.

A solo 40+ kilometer ride from Daraga/Legazpi City to Manito, Albay was the perfect way to end summer.  I was going to attend my Aunt's wake and burial so I might as well grab the opportunity for an unplanned long ride.

I'm so glad I was able to do this before the routine and schedules of the 2016 school year started.

Panorama of the gulf.  Legazpi City is on the distant far right across the gulf, approximately 30 kms from this vantage point.

Riding alone for around 3 hours can be so liberating and relaxing to the mind but sharing the ride with others would be a welcome change.  It's no fun taking selfies on a ride so plan your vacation and join me one of these days.

Cycling alone is liberating, taking a selfie is not.  Come ride with me next time.
